Frisbee!

I woke up at 7.45 am today. I can't believe I used to wake up at 5 am once upon a time to go to school. Wtf? How'd I do that? Anyways my alarm was set to ring at 6.30 and.... I switched it off. :P So the aftermath was that I woke up at 7.45, when I was supposed to meet the team at 8.30 at Bugis MRT.

Was late. Again. and the guys left first to find the place and I had to find it myself.

When I came, training already started and they (the other people there + my teammates) already started. 10 backhand, 10 forehand, 10 low release and 10 high release. Backhand, I get. Backhand, its totally natural. From your pinky to your 4th finger, just grab the rim and rest your thumb on the outer side. Now forehand, that's totally unnatural and alien to me. Place two finger to the rim of the frisbee and your thumb rests on the outer side. So without the frisbee, it looks like a twist with your thumb in the middle. This is how to throw a forehand.

Anyways, the frisbee was flying everywhere when I tried doing a forehand. Wayne, I suppose he's the coach, came to us (me and shaun) cause my forehand more or less CMI. Haha :) He watched my forehand and tried to help me improve it, he watched Shaun's forehand and tried to help him improve it. And then we did a triangle thing whereby Shaun throws to Wayne who throws to me who throws to Shaun over and over again.

The first time Wayne threw to me, I was.. shocked.. His throw was so smooth, there wasn't any angle at his throw and it was strong, damn strong probably due to the smoothness of the execution of the throw.

This being my first training and me not being able to get forehand, I think that my 3rd and 4th finger got a workout today. I seriously think that a frisbee is heavy for a forehand throw. Haha. I got about 2-3 blue blacks from intercepting Shaun's and mostly Wayne's frisbee. :S

After that we did backhand. Forehand. And a forehand fake backhand.

We played monkey and learnt how to block incoming frisbees.

We played game. We learnt how a block is incorporated into the game. We learnt game strategies. I learnt what a cut is and what a handler does.

After that, we did a drill. Dumb cut. Its funny cause sometimes, the marker is taller than me and I can't bloody see my teammate who is supposed to cut and I may not know where he's going to cut.

They got the nearby team from SMU to come and play a match with them. Since Lennard had to go home, we went home first.

I fell twice today. Both times I got mud encrusted. I need soccer boots. :S

Well, this is the story of my first after O's frisbee training. :)
