Leonid Meteor Showers

(Leonid Meteor Shower in 1799)

It all began at 11.30 pm when I met Renee, Stella, Li Yun, Nicholas and Benjamin at Chinese Garden MRT.

I had been planning to go to cheers to buy battery for my torch but sadly, it was closed. =.= We didn't know that Cheers wasn't 24/7. In the end, we walked all the way to the 7-11 near Jurong East Sports Complex to get our stuff. I needed my battery and the rest wanted to buy tid bits.

We went back to Chinese Garden MRT and met Sonya there. She had reached about 10 minutes after we set off on our long ardous journey to 7-11. Haha. Since it was dark and there were only the two of them and she wasn't sure how to get there, she waited for us. So we met her and went on our way~ :)

When we walked half way, we accidentally split up groups. Renee, Stella, Li Yun, Nicholas and Benjamin were group 1. Me, Sonya and Owen were group 2. Anyways Sonya knows a few guys in Science centre and we went in the Guesthouse to meet her friend. Apparently, whatever he was doing that day already ended. But there were extra food that they gave to us. Haha!

When we reached the area, the movies hadn't start yet but there was a guy playing violin. So we were like talking crap and bonding and stuff. :)

So the first movie started. I think it was "Deep Impact". I watched the first eighth of the movie before they took out their ludo boards. Haha. So we had 4 characters, Benjamin, (Tag team) Renee and Nicholas, (Tag team) Me and Li Yun, Stella. Well, its a funny story. We never really did finish the game. HAHA!

Owen played Grand Theft Auto on my PSP and I had to introduce him to the things you can do there. So I had to like turn back and forth back and forth playing Ludo and teaching Owen how to play GTA LC on my PSP.

Sonya watched the movie and after that went to find her scientist friends to learn more. Haha. So grateful we have her with us. Or we wouldn't know anything at all. :) Owen was very enthu about finding the constellations. We both tried to find Orion's sword but we couldn't see it. I could see his belt, legs and arms. but not his sword. Sonya on the other hand, saw the sword. But we both still couldn't see it.

Anyways Sonya came back and told us to look towards Chinese Garden MRT station (from japanese garden) because that's where Leo (the constellation) is. This is a Leonid Meteor shower btw. She showed us which one is Mars. Owen taught me that the brightest star is called Serius.

Deep impact ended. Some other show about comets hitting the earth was played.

The rest started to play uno. I lied down and looked at the stars. Owen joined them. I was just day dreaming with my eyes on the sky when we all heard excited yelps and cheering. They saw the 2nd meteor thingy. AHHH! Was looking the wrong way!!! I missed it!!

When they ended uno, we talked about a lot of things. Who Mr Chua should be with? (Ms Faith, Chu or Wong) Haha!!! Erm, something about having Faith and stuff. (pun definitely intended). And "There is a star in everyone" saying our school loves so much. We talked about babies, baby names. yada yada.

We watched the clouds. We saw a lot of underwears, boxers, bras and G string in the clouds. I personally saw a "Parang", a weight lifter, the letter "i" amongst all other things. Renee was very excited to find her underwear and bras in the sky. HAHA.

We joked about TAN LI YUN's "Liyun and Me!" display picture on facebook (insiders joke). I said that we were the Meteor (Japanese) Garden. :P F5 and M3. Haha!

The peak was at 5 am. I saw it! I saw it! I was so excited! I saw it!

I didn't take it. I got it off the net. This is how it looks like. Damn damn nice okay! A bright flash of light occurs. And the excited yelps and celebrating can be heard. then you realised you just saw it.

There was one that crossed each other. Damn nice!!

I think because it was cloudy and due to light pollution we couldn't see the whole thing. But.. well.. :) I think I'm happy to see the ones that I saw. :)
I think the last one was at 5.55 am. We waited for the sun to rise, threw away all our rubbish and went off. :)
